A repair plan is only as good as the measurement behind it
Foundation work is one of the few home repairs where the customer usually can't see the problem, can't verify the diagnosis, and can't easily compare two quotes. That asymmetry is why the category has a reputation problem — and it's the reason every estimate we write is built on measurements taken inside the crawlspace, and every job we do comes with a full scan.
The scan produces a measured elevation map of your floors: where the structure sits at elevation, where it has dropped, how far, and in what pattern. A ridge across the middle of the house means something different than a corner that has fallen away, and the report separates them.
You get the same report we do. If two contractors give you different numbers, the scan is what tells you why.
Three ways to a FoundationScan® report
A full scan takes several hours, so it is not something we can add to every quote. Estimates are built on measurements taken inside the crawlspace. The scan itself comes one of three ways.
With any job we do
When you hire us, a full FoundationScan® is performed as part of the work and the report is yours.
On its own
For a house that is on the market or about to be. If you later have us do the work, the full $650 is credited to the project.
With the annual service call
A fresh scan every visit, alongside service on the equipment we installed. No contract required; many homeowners lock in three to five years.

Where is it moving?
The heat map shows which areas of the floor have dropped and which are still at elevation — so support goes where the load actually needs picking up.
How much has it moved?
Measured, not estimated. That number determines whether you're looking at a floor support job or a foundation pier job.
Is the foundation or the framing at fault?
The pattern tells us. Getting this wrong is the single most expensive mistake in this trade — piers on a framing problem fix nothing.
Is it still moving?
This is what the annual re-scan answers. Comparing this year to last is the only honest way to know whether a repair is holding.

Our service doesn't end with installation and final payment. We're here for the long haul. Our annual service call — $250 a year — covers a service on all equipment we installed, a fresh assessment and a new FoundationScan® report, so changes are caught before more damage can occur. No contract required, though many homeowners lock in three to five years up front and hand that record to the buyer when they sell.
